Founded in Atlanta during the late 1860s, the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills operated under the management of Jacob Elsas and his descendants for more than a century. Jacob Elsas' sons Oscar and Benjamin each served as company President during the early twentieth century; grandsons Norman, William, and Clarence Elsas each served in the years during and after World War II.
